I always find in amusing when an object of affection is well out of one's ability to buy, how easy it is to find fault.
So, if you don't own one, can't afford one, have never put enough rounds through on to be familiar with one, maybe.............
I'm confused! Did someone here say anything negative about the M-1 Garand?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Add me to the fray (and absolutely no negative comments here). I first obtained my M-1 from the old DCM-CMP program when I was stationed out in Hawaii on a tin can in Pearl Harbor. That was back around 1987. I still have her today and she's a joy to shoot. The final "ping!" is a glorious sound. Maybe I'll have that made into a ring tone for my phone...or at least a series of them. DW41F.

I'm not a rifle guy at all, I have an AR and really don't get to shoot it much. If I ever get another rifle, however, it will almost certainly be an M-1 Garand.
