I have always looked to forums when I am researching a gun I am interested in purchasing. One of my biggest disappointments is when the subject starts to take a different path other than the original item I am researching. This forum stays on task most of the time which is great for those of us trying to learn from people with much more knowledge about anything and everything. My opinion is if the question is about a Colt revolver, the person responding should have some knowledge about Colts. The last thing I want to hear is, I never seen, handled, or shot one but Rugers, Brownings, Berettas, ect. are better. Keep up the good work at staying on task. Those of us really appreciate the learning experience.

Mike, I think we (on behalf of the Staff and our established Members) want to see this Topic/Post as an affirmation of of what DWF is about. Dan Wesson Forum learns from the contributions of our members. Most of the time, the learning is insightful, informed, and an open two way street. Sometimes less, and on (very) rare occasions unacceptably less.
By and large, I think DWF is a good place to be.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I agree, Steve - this forum has many insightful and caring members that freely share their wealth of knowledge for all to learn. DWF is one of my favourite forums to visit - I read much more than I post.
