Hello guys! While surfing around the net I stumbled upon a greek used gun sale site. As you would imagine it was not very big but it had some intersting stuff such as holland&holland shotguns, Kimbers,STIs and so on. Some of them were extremely pricey, around 5000 U.S. dollars for good 0.45's and car money for the good shotguns but what hit me the most was the python pictured below, bare in mind that this here is an extremely rare handgun (but second to my Dan Wesson of course ha!). Price : 5000 Euros, you do the math!

That is a bit high even for the European market. From what I've seen in the past, prices for anything that goes bang is about double what you'd pay here in the U.S.
And Colts are unreasonably priced everywhere. Of course I didn't find out until after I sold my Peacekeeper that I could have gotten about 50% more for it.

I have bought my first Smith, a Registered Magnum, as an investment. I still am not ready to pay a premium for a gun with delicate lockwork. I will probably eventually be seduced by their beauty. With Other guns , one seems to satisfy but it seems no amount of Dans eases the craving.

11 bids so far, bringing the price up to $29,879 (as of Sep 5). That's crazy!

Normally I'd have been All In on this but there is a non matching grip on one of them.
Speaking of crazy, the local Cabela's has a very average 15-2 6 for $599, right next to a shiny nickel Smith Model 29 for less than $100 more
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Not a bad price on the Smith.
Python prices seem to run more to the insane.

Steve, I'm with you on this one! Why bother if they don't even want to take the time to put a matching grip on the 8"!
I can certainly think of much better things to do with $26,100 to $32,500 dollars and it certainly doesn't involve buy a Colt... maybe a Mustang!
