I have a High Standard as well; a model 101. In fact, its in pieces right now and will get a sonic bath this weekend. Like you, it was the first pistol my dad let me shoot. After I proved I could be safe with it (about 8 years old), he let me walk around the farm with it. Killed my first rabbit with it and still hunt with it on occasion. The HS is a nice little "trap-line" type gun, whereas the Browning is definitely built for the competition line.

Oh yea...that is very nice! Is it long rife or magnum? I have recently been very impressed by the 22 WMR and would like to get another auto. I bought a (don't laugh) Grendel (P0-30; 22 WMR) a while back and went to the range and loved it. Surprised by it's accuracy. very fun shooting. I would like to see your review and range report! I might just need a Browning like that but really want to stick with the WMR.
