As a few of you know, the last couple of weeks have been a bit of challenge, so I decided to give myself a little Christmas present. I've been looking for one of these (used) for awhile and haven't really found one. The Cabela's sale paper had them in it so I headed out yesterday. They them had marked down $70.00 to $650. I had $150.00 in gift cards and another $50.00 on my membership card. Got it in .357, which is what I wanted, for $450.00 plus tax. Figured that was pretty good. I think this will be fun to both shoot and play with reloads.

I had a Henry Golden Boy (.22 LR, .22, .22 Short) that was just plain a ton of fun to shoot. It, among other things mysteriously disappeared a few years ago when the ex moved out. They are very well made and the Golden Boy was very accurate. I expect the Big Boy to be the same. It's also nice that the top of the receiver comes drilled and tapped (with screws in) so it's ready to be scoped.
As I said, I'm looking forward to playing around with some different loads. If the weather (and all my parts) cooperate, it will go with on my (now) traditional Christmas Day Range Day. I'll give you a report.

Shooting pistol loads from a rifle is a lot of fun. I have a Ruger 44 carbine as companion to the DW 44 setup. Its a nice combination. Sorry to hear life is more challenging than normal for you... Enjoy the Henry and have a better 2016HUGELK
Thank you Roger. I had Ruger 44 Carbine a number of years ago. Took a few Whitetails with in swamps and thickets. Great rifle.

Nice toy! I want a lever action (quality) in 357 so bad I can taste it.

I just watched the video in Bruce's link in post #3...now I REALLY want one! Looks really fun, and reliable. I've never had a lever gun, well, since my Daisy BB gun as a kid. Man, I could really make the lead fly with that baby! The big kid in me wants another lever gun big time.
