This was my dad's. Its a 6mm Flobert parlor pistol, single shot breach loading.
It dates from about 1890. At that time, it was common for gentlemen to retire to the parlor after dinner for brandy and a cigar. While enjoying those indulgences, they would shoot the vermin that often infested large homes of the period. So as not to inflict undue damage to the woodwork and furnishings, the weapon of choice was the Flobert Parlor pistol. It shoots a 6mm from a cartridge that looks like a shot shell primer with a 6mm ball swaged in the end. It will also shoot a 6mm CB cap. And yes, it still works.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

If a man designed it, and a man built it, then a man can fix it.
