So back in May, I tossed in a bid on proxibid/Rock Island Auction not thinking I'd win since others sold for almost twice what I paid. Couple weeks ago I get an email saying I won it!
Picked it up yesterday.
I don’t believe this has ever been fired before. No fouling to speak of anywhere - including the chambers.
I’m blown away by the deep blue finish (mint btw!) even though I’m more of a SS or chrome guy
Almost too nice to shoot honestly but I’m a shooter not a collector so…
Came with all the vintage paperwork manual brochures etc. mags, scope mount, scope. Just incredible.
Anyway, I thought fellow DWF members would like it since it's vintage and has a very similar polished (slight purple color to it like some Dans) blue finish and long barrel like the DW revolver barrels.

So out the door after dealer transfer fee it was just over $2200.
This one had same barrel length but no extra barrels or mags. Sold for $1902 plus CC fee and shipping etc
And this one sold for $2750 plus 24% and it only had 1 barrel!!! I have no idea why I wasn't outbid - craziness

I'd love to know the ballistics data for that 14-1/2" barrel.
Me too! I’ll probably chrono my reloads out of the 14.5" this weekend. Will report back. The 240 gr loads were like 1600 fps in my 20" Henry rifle so I’m going to guess maybe 1400-1500 fps?
Looks like I was spot on. My 240 gr plated loads averaged 1510 fps. 240 gr XTPs averaged 1550 fps. All with H110/W296 powder
