This was on gunbroker at a high price. THey wanted $1500 well after going back and forth I got it for $1100 It may still be too high of a price but I have never seen another one for sale. Also being serial number #1 I put it as a Dan Wesson one of a kind! Waiting for it to be shipped but i'm happy with it. I have one more gun I really want but it's not mine yet so will keep that to myself until it's really mine. hopefully it will be in two weeks! Anyone else have a Titan Mark lll? Lets see some pics!

Yea it's a fixed barrel. I have been looking for one for 3 years. I know by talking to Eric Wesson they supplied Mitchell which bought high standard these guns for a short period 1994.1995 ish they must not have sold very many of them. They made a mark ll which was a 714 also. I think Jody posted the Mark ll pics. There is also info of the Guardian same as the Titan but 38 special only. Never seen one of them.

I saw that on GB too, and was having serious thoughts of paying the $1500 asking price. However, researching the serial number for a bit, made me not pull the trigger. I don't think this gun is the first off the line, but instead a custom ordered SN. All the other Titans I could find pics of, their SN's all start with "MA".
Regardless, I'm glad you were able to talk the seller down on the price. Yours is only the 2nd MKIII I have seen, most are MKII's. AND the SN is still pretty cool.

I was also interested in it because on the phone, the "salesman" made many claims about gun belonging to Mitchell Arms CEO, Don Mitchell, who if you don't know his history was something of shady character. He tried to import guns on expired ATF permits, which put him on the government radar, and eventually served time for tax evasion.
Anyway, without documentation of previous ownership, I lost interest.

Well I did not even know the story and I bought the gun! I bought it because it is a Titan and I knew how rare it is because I have been looking for one for over 2 years and not one has ever come up for sale anywhere and I look at a lot of sites every day. It's like a High Standard Mark ll & lll they are pretty rare but I have seen 6 to 8 over the last year come up for sale though out of those guns maybe 3 were in excellent condition. Funny how Mitchell kept the Mark ll (714) and Mark lll (715) and added the Titan name to the gun. Anyway i'm very happy to have landed it at the $1100 price that was with tax and shipping by the way. It took over a week also as I was holding firm on $1050 It's like buying a car you have to be ready to walk away. I did not hear back from them for 3 days and thought they my re-list it but got the email saying "how about $1100 shipped no tax well that's were I wanted to be anyway as I did not include the shipping in my offer! Will be interesting to see how long it will be before another Titan shows up for sale!

Here is an interesting titbit. I was researching the Titans and came across a thread that the Mitchell Gold Series 1911's were made by Dan Wesson. after looking more into it there is an article saying that Bob Serva confirmed that the Mitchell Arms gold Series 1911's were indeed made by Dan Wesson. I did send Bob a message about this and am awaiting his response. also I asked Bob Serve about The First Issue pistol pacs and how many were made. He said he thought the number was under 60 made. Now That may have included the Hunter pacs. I noticed he does take a while to respond but I'm sure he is busy. I'm not sure how old he is now either. Here are some pics of a gold cup. I know nothing about 1911's maybe some of you could tell by looking at this gun if it's a Dan Wesson.
