Decided to go old school for my birthday and found a .22 Model 46 B that I like. Some think it's ugly with the manlicher style stock- but it piqued my interest and the price was less than 2 Benjamines...

Manlichers always do look a bit funky to me, but that's some nice looking furniture. Bet it's a smooth shooter. Any idea of the age? Less than 2 beans? Nice score.

They made that model from 45-52, so I'll use my C&R for shipping. It has no SN# because they weren't required, the manufacture dates are all I have. It's missing the globe for the front sight and the fire and safe colored pegs in the stock but I've found those as well. Bluing is rated 96-98%, Can't wait to get this in and hit the outdoors for some soup can plinking.

You know, no matter how many big caliber firearms we may own, it's downright fun to kill some some cans with a .22 rifle. You do realize a range report will be required???

Actually, she busted me while I was writing; it's all good now. 45 minutes of honey-dos and I'm off the hook. I told her my Dad went in halves with me....

Teach her to shoot it, better yet, tell her you bought it FOR her. My wife loves shooting that Anschuts 22 I picked up at the show recently. I'll let her shoot it anytime she likes.

I refurbished her Dad's Remington 521T for her. He used to shoot fish in the Cumberland River with it. It was in bad shape when I started, but it turned out pretty well.
