Howdy Fellas!
Been some time. Wanted some thoughts on something I came home with. My Dad was an avid gun collector and had passed recently. My Mom has everything now and I asked her about these that my Dad had in a case on the wall of our den when I was young. Always admired them and thought they were my dads Korea 1911's.
Turns out these were purchased in 1962 from the NRA for $17.50 ea. Original boxes, original paperwork, U.S. Army.
My Mom gave them to me.
(BTW I still haven't fired that Stainless 744. *chuckle*)

I believe that these are pretty special guns. I am not a 1911 historical expert, but when you look over the hardcore 1911 collector sites, Remington Rand pops up pretty frequently.
HERE is some Remington Rand 1911 historical info
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
