HI guys, Had a friend ask me about my ruger 10/22 mag. he said he wanted to get one for coyote control on his sheep ranch. I got to looking to see if any where available in the usual places. sounds like the quit making them and what is available has jumped in price. have any of you got any info on why they quit making and if so what the going value is on the standard one in the box with little use and slight blueing loss where it sat in the rack, probably from the glue used to hold the felt to line the holder. also maybe you know where one may be. will talk to him later to see how much he wants to pay, or if he has changed his mind. thanks for any feed back. pops2
Hey Pops,
I think those are becoming a pretty rare find and they seem to fetch a premium when you do find them. Based on a quick search it looks like they discontinued it back in February 2007. Looks like nice ones are going for $600+ on GunBroker.
That's a little bit of info anyway...

It is a Magnum Research, Magnum Lite MLR-1722M. It has a Volquartsen trigger and high capacity magazine. Also a Pride & Fowler Rapid Reticle scope with BDC for .22 WMR. I'll can sell the rifle without scope for $700.
