I finally found the right day yesterday to photo the FA with the sun sinking in the west. The ole pile 'o' Walnut looked ripe for another photo shoot. Freedom Arms 500 Wyoming Express with Micarta grips, jeweled hammer and trigger and ported barrel. I am just getting the stuff together to actually create loads for this gun. Factory stuff is way too expensive. So far the only Freedom Arms gun I own,but based on IHMSA's reports may not be the last..

Charger,
We all know that you will give it the TLC it deserves, it could not have gone to a better home! Your story was great, the anticipation and excitement really came through! Again, one of five, nice job!
BTW, I went full auto on this thread too, maybe it's contagious.
Supermagfan,
I had to add this, I wanted to post to both your new addition and Chargers separately but I will just add that your collection is one of the best here, each gun looks perfect. Both of you guys really add a lot to the forum, please keep it up for those of us who get a fix on DWAS and other AS by looking at those great pics and just switching configurations on our on DWs until the right time comes.

SMF, that FA is a real beauty! I love the way the jeweled hammer & trigger sparkles in the setting sunlight. I had the opportunity to lay hands on a couple FA's at the gun show yesterday, they felt VERY nice in my hands. I would like to land one of them sometime soon.
Palo, thanks! I will definitely give it a good home.
I had a pic idea today & thought I'd try it on a few of my guns. My batteries died after the 5th pic. I don't want to hog any more of this thread, so I'm just going to control myself & post three of the better shots of my new baby.
I was trying to think up something to add to the pics so how about a stainless gun laying on an aluminum Hemi Funny Car piston, out in the driveway?

Ok, so I guess if my pals SMF & IHMSA both have Seville Silhouette .375 USA guns, I'd better find one too.
The same week that the big Chop deal was going down, I spotted a fresh ad on Cabela's site for a clean looking .375 Seville...what to do, what to do. Well, it IS big & shiny, so I did what any well trained animal will do & ran after the shiny object full speed!!
Two weeks later, I caught it. I guess it's just customary to sell used Sevilles with dirty barrels & cylinders, and this was no different. At least the outside was clean, here's the morning after I got it home.
These Sevilles are really great guns, I tell ya & I feel so fortunate to be able to now own two of these beauties. Here it is with it's big brother...big brother is wearing some half finished Herretts I've been working on. The difference in cylinder & frame length is sure apparent here.

Charger, Thanks for saving me, I saw the ad too and was close to convincing myself I needed one of those for each hip! . Nice addition, man in addition to the 5-DW's too. You are on a good roll! Now you need some specialty ammo. Make sure to check out Bob Schell at Obsolete in Jody's links column. Bob is near you. And nice pictures!

I don't know exactly how long that ad was on before I called & woke someone up over at that Cabela's, but I do know that I beat about four other guys to it over on the Single Actions forum...who knows, I may have "out drew" you too! LOL!
That ad still shows available this morning, I wonder how many others have been calling on it during this time.
The day I grabbed it, I ordered a couple boxes from Reed's. It was a day or two later, that I saw you guys talking about Bob Schell...so I'll have to try him the next go-round. Thanks for the info though, he sounds pretty good to deal with.
I should have taken this one along when I piled all the 'Chops in the car for their photo shoot, but plum forgot. I guess tabletop pics will have to do for now.

Another great score there! USAAS is setting in. You're going to love that .375. I like the wood grips on yours, wish mine had them. The Pachmayrs are functional, and do keep recoil down over the wood grips.
One thing that really surprised me, was the recoil of the .375 Seville. I had expected it to be somewhat substantial, more like a .44 Magnum SBH, but it actually feels about the same as my .357 SuperMag Seville. In other words, pleasantly mild. Had to keep looking at the gun and ammo to make sure it wasn't the smaller kid brother I brought along by mistake. Can't wait to see the new pics of it.

I had an idea today for a better attempt at some decent SuperMag pics for the calendar. They didn't really work out well, however these Seville pics ended up halfway decent. Not as good as I was trying for...a little fuzzy & the lighting could have been better. Maybe I just need to get some stainless DW's & try it again!

Couldn't get the camera to focus on the gun very well here, but it still looks kinda cool.
Seville .454, wearing my feeble attempt at some re-finished & customized Herretts grips.

Mine's a little autofocus camera that can be pretty finicky if the lighting's not just right. The closeup shots, like the one above where the gun is blurry & the brake rotor is in focus, is done with the camera on the "macro" setting.
Normally, macro works pretty well, just not that time.

Definitely not crazy expensive, I think I paid $250~ish about four years ago. My next one will be a digital SLR camera, so I can mess with focus, exposure times & other stuff.
Here's what those rotors are attached to.
