Nice Smif. It's actually a Model 657, introduced in '80. Kind of like the difference between a DW41 and 741. I may have something to trade...

Standard Catalog of Firearms: NIB: 670, EXC 525, V.G. 425. Model (dash) makes a difference to some. The Hunter model had an unfluted cylinder. That's a few of the reasons for the wide range. That and the natural inflation of the Gun Broker market...

Here's the S&W 57 [41 cal] gun that Dean got me in the fall of 2005 for my 50th Birthday.
I always considered it a combo gift for Dean and I, since he loved the 41's and I loved it because it was bright and shiny.
Dean could shoot the gun, as much as, he wanted.
Of course, this is one of the guns I'm going to keep and treasure.
