So, other than the 732 I lucked into, I've been on a lever action trip. It started when I found an old project gun that I hadn't finished- a WIN 94 in 30-30. So, then I bought a Win 94 in 32 Special, then a Win 94 in 7x30 Waters, and now- tonight another 94 in 307 Winchester....
Anyone have a 94 in 45 Long Colt for sale so I don't have to buy the one here?
It's a bit steep...
Regards, Ron

Here's the deal on buying more guns:
YOU are the MAN and the HUSBAND, you make your choices and she needs to live with it, end of story!
So if this philosophy ACTUALLY works for you, let me know, I might possibly use this as an excuse for buying more guns.
OTOH, maybe not

I'm one of the lucky ones- my wife never gripes about my gun buying habits. When it comes down to it, I actually do have the final say. She does raise her eyebrow, turn, and walks away at times...never could understand the mumbling as she ambles down the hallway... however, I now think I'm done buying for a bit. Unless....

Do what the wife does with clothes. Stash it away for a while, then bring it out. If asked you say "Oh, I've had this old thing a long time." It IS old and a long time is relative.
My wife actually does that. Somehow she thinks I won't notice that my car no longer fits in the garage (hers is there) because after filling all of the closets in the house she has put clothing racks in my half of the garage.
However, if I say I need another car, camera, or gun, she just says "buy it."

So,.... Leshia has been at her Mother's in Louisville since the 26th of April. She returns on the 4th of June; 5 days before our 18th Anniversary. Now, along with the aforementioned, I need to decide what to do about the rest of the purchases. Obviously, I can't be left alone- I tend to give in to temptation. I found the pre-safety 307 WIN (mentioned above) and then a pre-safety 356 WIN a few days ago; the only logical thing to do was buy a pre-safety 375 WIN tonight to close out the Winchester 94 XTR Big Bore collection. Do I just say "Don't worry about getting me anything for our anniversary", or do I stash these deep in the safe and play it cool? That 45 still hasn't sold....

Ron, you're a military man. I say "don't ask don't tell." If she don't ask you don't need to tell.
So many places to start on this, so:
You enlist for ... years, you marry for, uh, life
If you screw up (even monumentally) in the military, they can demote you, discipline you, imprison you, maybe even execute you.
OTOH, when you "screw the pooch" with your wife it lives forever. Been there, done that more times than I can count (but SHE can count MUCH higher than I can)
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
