The Nylon stock guns were before there time. They gave rise to our synthetic stocks today. I have always loved the Remington Nylon guns. The stocks are made of DuPont Nylon 66 series plastic called structural Zytel-101 that Dupont developed specifically for these rifles. They were first produced in 1959-1991.

The stocks are almost indestructible and very light. These are some of the most stylish guns made to me. Here is a pic of some of mine.

1. The top rifle is the Nylon Apache model 66. Black stock, chrome side plate and barrel. Hidden rear stock tubular magazine fed.
2. The second rifle is the Remington Mohawk 10 C with a clip. walnut colored stock
3. The third one is the Remington Nylon 12 bolt action tubular magazine fed. Walnut colored stock.
4. The bottom is the XP-100 .221 Fireball experimental design. The first long range pistol made.

That's a good looking collection. drool

I'm more of a wood stock guy, but I must admit that those do look nice all together like that. I may have to start taking a second look at some of these, when I run across them.smile

I have always though that the white diamond shape molded in is such a distinctive and classy touch.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
