This is for those of you who have those "off-beat" calibers, like the 445 Super Mag, 357 Maximum etc.

Do any of you have Thompson Center single-shots to match your Dan Wesson revolvers?

Or for that matter, a second gun in the same caliber?

Reason I am asking, is because I came across a 10" 445 Super Mag barrel barrel today. Thought it would be cool to have if I had a Dan Wesson in 445 Super Mag as well.

Yes I have both DW super-mags in 445 and 357 as well as 10 inch contender barrels in the same calibers. I haven't shot them much but it just seemed like a no brainer since I love contenders almost as much as my DWs. OK OK I did say almost!

P.S.    I am fantasizing about ( ok looking for)  a 16 1/2 inch 357 max contender barrel to add to the 22 LR carbine I built for my 8 year old and gave him this past Christmas.

They list 357 Max as an available caliber, and is offered in bull or tapered barrel contours. Unfortunately, for a standard blued bull barrel, you are looking at $304.95 confused

Greetings

About 6 years ago began putting together a 414 SM on my 375SM frame which works nicely.

This last summer while up in ILLinois I rechambered my 14 inch 41 mag Contender to 414 SM.  That is one handful of a pistol.  Picks up about 175 FPS over the 8 in DW with the same load.  It is fun though.  Next time up I think I will throat it out a shade more and shorten the barrel to 12 inches for easier packing in a holster.

I have a 357max, 414SM, 445SM and 375 SM Contendor barrels for my Contender.  I also have a United Sporting Arms 357 Max, and 375 SM in a single action and a custom Reeder 414 SM single action.  I just need to find or build a 445SM single action the to round out the house. It is alot of fun to collect these calibers in several formats as you are suggesting.

Yes I am aware of the custom shop and that is probably what it will take to acquire my barrel. In the mean time I am hoping a previously enjoyed model in the low budget district will show up on the auction sites. (yea I know, not likely, but a guy can dream can't he).wink

I don't own a TC yet, but TC's are definitely on my list. So far the only caliber I have in two different gun types is the .375 SM, a DW & a Seville single action. Maybe my first TC should be a .375 SM, that would be great!

I did the same thing several years ago. The .357SM was in a 10" Contender barrel. The rest of the series were in Encore barrels, including two .414SM barrels, one fluted, one octagon. I also have a Seville in .357 and .375SM.

Nothing fancy, just a 10" 22 lr bull barrel to go with my 22 DW.  In matter of fact, I have all the bases covered for 22's:

Semi Auto - Ruger MK II

Double Action - DW

Single Action - Colt New Frontier Scout

Single Shot - Thompson Contender
