I just bought a Taurus .327. It is my first .327 cal. I have no knowledge of this caliber. I bought it because I didn't have one and it was at a very good price. Have any of you had any experience with one? What ammo do I need to use. It will probably spend a lot of time in the safe unless it turns out to be a shooter.

I don't own a .327 because DW never made them . I do have a DW .32 H&R though and it is a tack driver. I handload all of my loads primarily with lead biullets and some Hornady XTP's All of the loads I have used work great. To stay economical in .32 Cal I think you may want to consider handloading as your best option.

I joined this forum in Jan. '11. I have bought 12 DWs and 2 H.S. so you see I'm a big DW fan. The 2 Taurus' guns were bought because I didn't have a .44 or a .327 and on both the price was too good to pass up. That said, I didn't know Obama had autographed the .44 when I bought it.
Now that I have confessed my sins, I want to wish all a Very Merry Christmas.

My understanding is that industry ( Ruger?) may be dropping the .327. It may have failed to get the attention it needed to stay in production.
But congratz. If money were no object .. I would love to see what that cal would do in a DW.

In many ways the 327 is what the 32 H&R mag should have been. Case about the same length as the 357 mag and factory loaded to 357 mag pressures. It is a real magnum. Has quite a bit of a bark but recoil is quite modest. I've got a Ruger GP 100 in 327 Federal mag and I really like the gun. 327 ammo and cases are not common but seem to be coming out finally. My local shop has ammo and cases within the last month. The 32 H&R mag is like the 38 special is to the 357 magnum. I even shot some 32 S&W longs but accuracy did seem to suffer with that short a case.
