Just wondered who else has AR-15's. I have my one and only:
This has great sentimental value for me, it was built for me by my son. While he was overseas, he was ordering parts (Fathers Day, Birthday, Xmas, etc.) and once he got home we broke out all the pieces that had been shipped here and he put it all together.
DPMS Lower
DPMS Upper-Sweet 16 Matte Stainless Bull Barrel (6 month wait for a special order)
ACE Skeleton Stock (CT still has the AWB)
LaRue Troy BUIS front and back
I have added a Primary Arms Red Dot and a Barska 3-9 Illuminated Reticle Mil Dot scope, both moderately priced recreational type optics, but pretty good quality for the price
Upgrading the magazines to 20 and 30 round PMags a couple at a time, and I still need a bag to carry it in, most that I find locally are too long.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I am down to one remaining AR. I had a Cobb MCR300 in 30.06 and two home built ARs in .223, one an A2 and the other an A4.
This one is 6.8SPC caliber, I bought the parts and assembled the rifle myself. Sun Devil lower receiver, JP Enterprises CTR-02 upper receiver, White Oak Armament 16" barrel – 6.8SPCII chambered, YHM for-end, PRI gas block, YHM flash hider, Young National Match bolt carrier group, AimPoint C3 red-dot scope with AimPoint 3x magnifier – both sitting in American Defence QD scope rings, Troy flip-up BUIS (backup iron sights). I don't recall who the stock is made by, it's a knockoff of an Ace stock but of a little higher quality.
If I remove the 3x and flip up the BUIS, they will co-witness with the red-dot. Very cool!

I have a couple. First is a home built lower with a Jp enterprises upper. It has the low mass bolt/carrier, heat sink and adjustable gas block. With the comp and correct loads it has no muzzle rise at all. Super flat shooting.
My second is a dedicated 22lf build. All spikes with the fake can. It is fun to shoot when it works.
They still let us have ar's in ca though they are gimped

Carried a M-16 for too long, had to eat sleep and sh!t with it. Never had the want for one since.

I know the feeling well. It me a long to finally pick one up, a deal I couldn't turn down. Same thing but worse with the Model 10 Smith, but I have a couple of them now.

Wayne – nice Norton!
Thanks! But actually it's a '72 Triumph Bonneville
This is the '74 Norton 850 Commando I used to have…sold it on eBay, shipped to a buyer in Japan!
Then there was also this, a '71 BSA A70 Lighting. This is #40 of only 200 that were produced. It was a homologation bike to qualify for for AMA racing – as such, all 200 were only sold in the U.S. These were the only 750cc twins BSA ever produced. I sold it on eBay as well, shipped to a buyer in England.
I did the restoration work, engine work, and modofications myself. I enjoyed working on them more than riding'em.
Sorry for the thread diversion

I have an AR I got on trade...and would like to get rid of it. Just not a very big AR fan, M14's are my thing.
