This is a 1926 3rd model hand ejector. It's known as a Wolf & Klar model or the 3rd model. These were

made for Wolf & Klar, the largest S&W dealer in Texas. The deal was WK got the first 3000. I believe this is one of these. They only made 3900 or so of these. These were very popular with Texas lawmen.

we took these too the range last weekend. The wife tried the 44 out, did very well with it. Her favorite is

still the 4in DW. The old gun does real well with 240 gr extreme bullets loaded to factory load specs.

Im waiting on a letter from S&W on it. HDHIC

The Third Model was manufactured exclusively for them from 1926 to 1936.  According to the factory letter, mine was shipped April 6, 1927:

That one is a beauty. Sure wish I could afford a target model. Them old 44s and 32-20s are habit forming.  HDHIC. aka Cliff

Great looking Smiff's you guys! Every time I look at early Smith double actions I seem to find overpriced junk or nice stuff that's out of my range. One day...

But thanks for showing them off!drool
