Made my first range trip with my new to me 15-2. I also took a 686. And one daughter.
We were shooting at 7, 10, 15, and 25 yards. We both shot badly at 25. It was sad, really.
The DW kept shooting high, and I couldn't get the sights any lower. I need to pull them and make sure there's nothing under the rear sight preventing it from coming down.
I also kept feeling some ... spray or something off of the side walls of the booth with it. She felt a bit too, after I asked about it. Not sure what that was. The gap isn't consistent on all the cylinders. In another thread, someone said I need to play with the gap. I think the tightest cylinder was snug on a .006 feeler gauge, but the loosest was greater.
Oddly, I shot it better DA than SA on the last target. I was at 7 yards and had 4 in the black with 2 outside.
I also like the Hogue grip on the 686 better. I'm going to get one for the DW, and see if that helps me.
I think I just need more practice with revolvers. I have 113 lbs of ammo coming this week. 1,500 of it is .357. The UPS guy is going to hate me.

I prefer to shoot DA at the range. Single action only when I am adjusting the sights from a bench or hunting with the revolver. The spray is most likely just the gas and powered the comes out between the cylinder and the forcing cone but you may want to double check to make sure the cylinder is locking in the bolt before the hammer is falling. Just double check the timing of the revolver.

Those are some of my favorite times.
I took it out again today. The gunsmith has a range. He looked at it and said it was just a gap issue. I snugged it up just a bit and no issues with the 6" or 8" barrel.
Well, there was the issue of my not rock steady grip, but that should improve with some practice.
