Went with a friend to an indoor range today, lonwolf93 and Supermagfan will know the place, TROPS. My friend wanted some trigger time on a Dan Wesson 1911 so I took my Heritage along also an HS MKIII and a 7445. We shot the smaller guns first, and then I decided to try out my 7445 VH6. Here is a quote from my friend's facebook page, "
And Chris was disturbing the peace with his Dan Wesson .445 Super Mag - and shooting VERY well I might add. Great balls that gun is LOUD (and badass) !!
— at Trop Gun Shop.
I don't know that I was shooting all that well, but I certainly did make some noise! I've never shot a 445 indoors before and I'm not sure I want to again. I did have everyone's attention after a few rounds. I was on lane 6, my buddy on lane 5 and the guy on lane 4 asked me what I was shooting because the partition was vibrating when I shot . I was against a wall on my right and the divider on the left, kind of held the muzzle blast in and I could feel every shot.
I think I'll keep the Supermags for outdoor range work. lol
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

My only .445 SM shooting experience was on an outdoor range, that was plenty for me. When guys are walking down from their shooting point to ask "WTF is that", says it all.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I call the big ones the "smile makers", because I can't help but grin & giggle with each trigger pull. That goes for anyone who is with me, too.
One other nice feature about the big boys, is that they usually get you more elbow room. Because after a few trigger pulls, other folks often scoot further away from you.

I get a stiffyNow I gotta powerwash my Minds Eye! My life was complete without this.
I like big guns and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a piece walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung.

I can think of another "big one" that will get you more elbow room. Silent but Deadly
