Hey everyone! It's been a minute since I've posted, so I hope this post finds you all doing well in these crazy times. I hope everyone is having a good spring and is looking forward to the summer. I haven't had either of my DW 15s out to the range in several months, so thought it was time to spend some time with them yesterday. Spent the day using my 6" and 8" barrels since they actually see less use than my 4" and 2" ones. Didn't shoot any special ammunition, just shot up some extra UMC 125 gr. stuff I had on the shelf. No issues at all; it was just a fun day enjoying the Dans. Then, as I was wandering around the shop afterwards spreading myths about my shooting abilities to the employees and looking at all the gorgeous in inventory, I spotted it - a barely used DW Guardian, the very 1911 I've coveted for a few years now. Of course, I was beyond smitten; it was love at first sight. I took a look at it, field stripped it, hoping and praying there weren't any blemishes, dings, scratches or similar that might dissuade me from purchasing it, and there weren't. I haven't seen money leave my wallet that fast since the night I was old enough to enter my first gentlemen's club. Since I'm a member at the shop/range and have spent a lot of $$ there over the years, I was able to get out the door for under $1K. I know, I couldn't believe it either. I'm ecstatic. The only downside, if you even want to call it that, is that the gun is chambered in 9mm. I'm a bit of a 1911 purist (or snob, depending on your view), so my preference is .45 ACP, but I've really become a fan of 9mm in the last several years (just not in 1911s, lol) so I wasn't going to be deterred. I haven't shot it yet but I'm headed back to the range within a few days and am really looking forward to throwing some weight downrange 115 / 124 grains at a time. I hope it shoots as good as it looks because, if so, I may have just acquired my new carry gun (if I can resist my temptation to make it a safe queen! *gulp*). Any other Guardian fans out there? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Be safe, folks. Cheers!

Note: I'm getting some weird formatting errors in my posts. I see the forum has changed a bit since I was last here, so I'm wondering if I've missed something. I edited the previous post as best I could; it wasn't meant to be one long paragraph but I can't seem to add new ones. See y'all soon.

No problems with your post. The software was updated and there are some quirky things but all is well. I have Dan PM 9 that I absolutely love shooting. Launching the 9mm from a 1911 frame is very enjoyable; great practice for the 45 or 460 Rowland!
Enjoy it!
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
