Well fellars, I ain't been to the range for 2 years. Since before 30 Aug, 2012. That's the day I got this foot so torn up. I tell ya have had a lot of different kind of hurts, but you don't know how bad you miss the use of a foot.
Started yesterday, had dumb-ass moment, then the rain beat me to my outdoors.. So, today I spent bout an hour at an indoor range...BTW, $20 an hr. That is all it took. I am taking the CCDW Instructor course on Sat. the 7th and needed to shoot. Put the 4"r on Bessie Pearl and took 3 shots.
Well on this see the 3 to the right and top, yep. 3 clicks on the elevation screw and you see the next 3 shots. BTW, I was shooting .38 125g LRN. So then the windage screw a few clicks and 3 more, 1 click and another 3. then I turn the target around and put on a few red spots. This is 6 shots, not sure what happened with the 2 on the right. So I turn aound again and put a spot center mass.
3 in the middle SA3 DA. I think she is ready for saturday. these are 15 yds if your asking. That's what I have to shoot for the course.
Then I get out that Sentinel ll, I showed ya'll short time back.
New target.. same .38's SA looks real nice...DA well you can see. I'm pretty sure I wasn't pulling that bad. oh, well it shoots and ain't too bad I guess. Then I had to mags of 45 on me. I was wearing my full size Smitty 1911. I sent 1 magazine down the pipe fairly quick...I am a happy man!!!and just for farts and giggles this is what I find on my deck this mornin.
young one. This afternoon when I got back, all that snow is gone but there calling for upwards of a foot between now and tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for puttin up with an old Marines ramblin'...

That looks like some darn fine shooting Cecil. Especially after a 2 year lay off. Glad I could help.
You know, that probably would have been a tasty critter after dining on all of your sunflower seeds. Just a couple of clicks up and .......

Another time in my life B, he woulda been a tasty meal.. little greasy but stringy like a brisket...lol
Chris, I really spent like 10 minutes squeezing a trigger, the rest of the time was making adjustments. First time Bessie Pearl ever had on a short dress. That 10" is the only thing thats been on her, except the 6" for maybe 5 cylinders thru it, pretty much the long skirt only came off for a cleaning. That this is heavier than my hands remembered.. Next time I'm run some 158g JHP down the line. 38 just don't have the same blast.. All in all a good time even if it was only an hour.

I got one of those inexpensive laser bore sights at Wall Mart that I use to ball park the sites after I do a major BA swap. I can usually get a decent grouping on the first cylinder and make the fine adjustments at the range. Wastes less ammo and I don't get a line of guys behind me while I'm 'doping' the sites.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

When Andrew was home on leave, in addition to bow hunting for deer several times (with no success), he took a few squirrels in the "backyard hunting preserve", Once skinned out and cooked, he did not get much meat.
But he had a lot of fun when I alerted him to targets in the AO, I'm not sure how that small of a target gets nailed with a bow, but again, he had fun and some tasty squirrel snacks.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Your right, that boy must be dead eye dick with the bow to take squirrels,or did he use the blunt tips like I've seen some rabbit hunters, still gotta be sharp though. but that is some good eatin when you cook them slow and long, they get good and tender..
and Scorpio, I have a bore sight as well, fortunately, with the weather we had on the way, I was all alone on 12 lanes...
