Its been unseasonably warm and nice here in PA this week and today work took me past my favorite outdoor range. As luck would have it, I just happened to have my new 715 along with me :). I have not had much time to shoot the last several months so just to be able to get some trigger time was great. A lot of folks had the same idea as me and the range was fairly busy and, as usual, the close points were all taken, so I shot at the 20 yard targets. I had some hand loads along, 125gn LSWC over 14 gn 2400. These were stout but not bad but were they ever smokey. Looked like I was shooting black powder. I didn't have much time so I hurried a bit. One thing I don't care for on the new 715 is the black on black sights, I find I have a hard time getting the sight picture I'm looking for. I need to put in one of Eric's brite blue or green blades to help my eyes. Anyway, here is a quick phone pic of my outing. Poor marksmanship, but it sure was a fun way to spend a beautiful afternoon.

I have tried a bunch of the different coloured blades and I do prefer the bright green sights, then blue and even the white/glow in the dark - because most of my targets are black or red. Nice shooting there, btw. I have a new Ruger SP101 that I am itching to get it out to the range
