Only a small cut on my left knuckle.Load was (supposed to be) 9gr HS-6 Sierra 158 JHP 8360, Rem 5 1/2.
Only other note was that the top strap had been drilled and tapped with a 6-40 thread for a scope mount.
Forensics to follow.

Dang! Glad you are okay. Rocket science ain't no joke.
Looks like you got a wall hanger for the reloading bench there.

Update:Finally had time today. As soon as I went to zero my trusty 5-0-5 scale I knew what happened.
Somehow I had bumped or moved the heavy bar fro 0 to 10. This had to be before I set my Lee Auto Drum, which is odd as I as a habit to always zero the scale when starting.
So the result was 19gr of HS-6, not 9gr. I did confirm by pulling all the rounds an re-measuring.
I do look at the fill in the case and weigh about every 10 rounds, but if the scale is set wrong that doesnt do much.
Last year I finally broke down and bought a chineesium digital scale. So, from now on, a second check will be done prior to starting actual loading.

Wishing it was possible to somehow instill experience onto those without it... I Look into the cases after charging, Not only to in sure that they are all the same...But, Also...from experience, I have a "feel" for how full they should be!!! One reason I dislike "new" powders..
Having Never used HS6...I would have No Clue where it Should be...Would take lots of Time to Gain Confidence!! Or, I try very hard Not to change...Not just because I'm Old!!!!

I didn't know it was even possible to load double the powder in a .357 shell, that's nuts!
I also haven't used HS6 yet, that one would be uncharted territory for me. My go-to load is 17gr of IMR4227 & that gets the case pretty full, so 9gr of Hodgdon HS6 must be some potent powder!

Glad you're OK.
This is why I run a powder check die with alarm on my Dillon press. I've had people tell me it's unnecessary, but this is exactly why I use one, it would catch a gross over charge while still on the press.

HS-6 and Power Pistol are nice powders for "intermediate" loads in 357. Smaller charges so pound of powder goes farther, yet enough powder that you don't run into position sensitivity.
A little faster and a lot cleaner than Blue Dot. Both meter well too.

Wow! Glad you're OK!
And glad you ID'd the problem! Hodgdon shows a max load of 9.5 gr. of HS-6 for a 158 gr. XTP, so 19 gr. was definitely pushing it! Sorry about your revolver, but glad you still have your eyes, and all your fingers!

So, thanks to my new (to me) Grizzly G0759 and my trusty Atlas/Craftsman 618 I was able to salvage most of the internals and the barrel/shroud.
Unfortunately, while using pliers turning the last little bit of the frame off (I turned what was left around the barrel down to ~.100 to make sure I could work it loose) I buggered the frame end threads pretty good.
Net is, it won't thread into my other frame.
My threading skills are almost non-existant, and I don't even own a single point threading tool for the lathe.
Just posted in Wanted for a barrel.
I might take the old one to a gunsmith that I know here in the STL metro to see its salvageable, but I don't want to have to mess with right now.

I'm glad you escaped with minor injuries.
This is why, as a matter of course, I reject any powder that is capable of taking a double-charge in the case its being dumped into!
Seriously. If it happens with a charge over 50% of capacity it dumps powder all over the place as a sort of Fail-SAFE warning.
