As one old man said “the most fun you can have with your clothes on”. I took two pre1923 guns and my short barrel DW to the range yesterday. I took a Marlin 1894 32-20 rifle and a 1905 32-20 revolver to the range. The old rifle took several serious cleaning sessions th get the bore cleaned up. It shot very well compared to when I got it. The old target is kinda pitiful looking. I was really impressed how it shot everything I loaded up with. I’d loaded some BE wad cutters to try out in my revolvers, these were very accurate loads. These 32-20 target models are real scarce. Last was the Dan Wesson. I was shooting some plus p 38spl . I dug out some Fed spm primers to load for the Dan.I’m saving the fed primers for the dans. The old dw was 100 percent in double action.

Old firearms may deteriorate, but their Dan Wesson elegance never goes out of style.
