I am new to this Forum, thank you in advance for any advice.
I am not new to guns and shooting (((15 years US Army) owner of >100 guns reload for many / most)). I am however fairly new with Daw Wessons. I own 3, .357, .44 and .357 SuperMag. It is the SuperMag which is giving me troubles.
I shoot with the traditional military training style, sight picture and slow squeeze, unknown when the weapon will fire. All three are superbly accurate.
The SuperMag when I slow squeeze, firing in single action, the trigger (50% of time) trips the firing mechanism and the hammer falls (but not hard to hit the primer) with the tension still on the trigger I can let the tension off the hammer through the trigger going forward and the hammer will rest in the down position, the transfer bar also drops. If I make a brisk pull on the trigger this never happens. This never happens or anything like it in double action. Once it "drops the hammer" if I keep tension on the trigger I can fire in double action from that trigger pull. However if I let off just a little there is a "click" and I cannot fire in double action and have to release the trigger completely and start again.
So any ideas?

I think I figured it out.
Going to look at the set screw as Ole Dog suggested, I was messing around. I removed the Hogue Monogrip and noted the pin in the middle of the frame had worked its way out a little left to right. The Hogue Monogrip had a small factory "cup" in that spot on the inside of the right grip panel. I pushed the pin flush (back to the left) and problem went away. I then installed a Pachmyer grip I had sitting around, and it has a more solid wall. Problem solved, in the gun room. To late for back yard shooting, but I think it is fixed.

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like you are on the right track. I too never knew what would happen if that pin backed out.
Give us a range report when you try it out.

To solve my problem ( if you recall the pin was slipping side to side and the hammer would get "weird") I bought a new grip from LB and it arrived today. BEAUTIFUL and functional. I am sure the "wings" will hold the pin in place. I will send Range pics of targets as I get ready for deer season in South Carolina,I suspect > 8 does will enjoy my Dan Wesson .357 Max, the 180 Grain is very accurate.
