So this revolver was presented to my Grandfather by Dan Wesson Arms in 1981, just before he retired from his job as Chief engineer. There are another 249 guns in this special production line which was used as in introduction to their new .44Mag. It was passed to my Grandmother after his death, and then was passed down to his oldest grandson, my older brother. My Grandfather was Paul E. Brouthers, who if you look through the Dan Wesson patent filings, was responsible for much of the Model 44. If anyone else has one of these limited production guns I would love to see them.

I have #401 but I have it up for sale right now. I do have the original box (Styro) with manual, paperwork, tool and brush! I'm letting it go and a Commemorative "We The People" to help fund a more rare gun. They both are on Guns International! I think you can have two types of collections. The first is the "money is no object" collection where you have lots of money and can just keep everything you buy or the second collection is the I have just so much money collection" that's where you let some guns go to fund better or more rare guns or the "always upgrading collection" as you leave the "I don't have any idea what i'm doing" stage and enter the " i'm learning" and you can let some of your early purchases go and hopefully make a few bucks to help buy the better, more rare guns!
