I've got a Dan Wesson 22mag with a 6in barrel. How long since made these. They must not be very common, I've only seen 2 that I remember. We are seeing a few 22mags for sale now. I'll only shoot what i can replace.

Do you have a mouse in your pocket or is that the Royal We?. 😆. 22 mag was made during the Monson era, the Palmer era, and the Bob Serva Norwich era. I have a couple of Monson and a Norwich. How many were made is lost to the BATF Warehouse 13. There were less than 22 LR made. There were far less small frame guns made at Palmer than Monson and even less at Norwich.

With that being said, the number of 22 mag made is probably in the low 5 digits. 22lr would be in the mid 5 digits. One to three a year show up on Gunbroker. Those folks who have them tend to keep them. You used to be able to get 22 mag cylinders from Dan Wesson but probably not any more but I am not sure. A competent gunsmith can ream a 22 LR cylinder to 22 mag but it won't have the value of a true 22 mag with the 22 mag rollmark on the shroud. Prices run double or more than a LR.

Blued 1K-1300 and stainless 1300 to 1800.  It's hard to say how accurate those numbers are because I only have 2 blued and 5 stainless price points over the past seven years.  Like Ron said, they aren't offered too often.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Old Dog, I used we because I have my wife trained to spot DWs. In fact she spotted the 22mag and came to find me. My gun is marked Dan Wesson Arms Monson Mass. Unlike my 22 the mag has the stop in the frame. The gun is # A0283xx. Thanks for the info.

Wow, that is a well trained wife. Mine says don't buy so many of the blue guns. She likes bling. She is my IT specialist though. One day she will have to sell my hoard on Gunbroker and eBay.
