Kind of interesting. Wish my wallet could tolerate a safe queen like this one.

First time I have ever seen one of these, can't believe 700-were produced and none ever surfaced before? The only sports figure that I ever followed was Earnhardt, now I just collect guns... Nonetheless, at $1,000.00 maybe, but a safe queen it is and would not get used so . Very nicely presented revolver though.

Sad they put such a poor grip on it and the medallion is one of those plastic ones
That grip & medallion looks a lot like the one on my 7445. If so, it's metal...pewter I think.
I agree that for having made 700 of them, they sure seem rare. Also, when a limited edition of anything pops up with an even "150" number, it makes me a little skeptical. If it were something like 149 or 151, that would make me think it really is "1 of xx".

As I think about, given the size and dedication of Earnhardt's fan base, it wouldn't surprise me if there really are 700 of these. His fans probably would have bought most of them and those that did probably stuck them in a safe. If I'm right, the farther we get from his death, the more of these we'll probably see.

That's a good point & you may very well be right. Hopefully a few more of these guns come out of the woodwork. Now if only DW's were still considered "cheap", it would be easier to bring unique ones like these home.
