A few weeks ago when I had my 740 for sale, I got a phone call from a guy asking for details. We talked quite a while, a very knowledgeable man with a varied background in revolvers. He mentioned that he had a Dan in .257 Roberts. I invited him to join the forum and he seemed interested but I haven't seen his user name yet so I thought I'd mention it. I think he said he had the barrel for it (15-2 frame) and wanted to get a cylinder chambered for it. I suggested he contact DW in Norwich. I hope he joins so he can fill in the details of how he acquired the gun. I thought it sounded like an interesting project.

To quote Brian Williams, I may have 'mis remembered' this. I thought he said 257 maybe I'm mistaken, either that or his story was BS. I hope he joins and sets the record straight.

Either way, the PSI for the Bob is 54,000 PSI - no revolver will handle that, which I know of. The 454 Casull runs 50K cup. Could be an interesting discussion. 22 Hornet would be neat....
Ron,
I pick-up that 445 conversion to 22 Hornet that was offered on the forum, but only have fired a few rounds once so far but it's fun to shot.
