Currently on GB, with a starting bid of $1200; Dan Wesson J.C. Series .22LR Norwich - Revolvers at GunBroker.com : 907553776
I searched our site & couldn't find any previous info on this oddball creation. Obviously a S&W frame (complete with the Hillary hole), but roll marked as a Norwich DW, with a "First Issue" marked BA...have any of you heard of such a thing before?
Who is this J.K. person? Maybe it's short for just kidding? *edit* Woops, I meant to type J.C., it's hell getting old.
Too bad they didn't make it an 8-shot 22Mag, or something equally as cool.

Bob Serva was going to produce these as a cost saving measure. Instead, he sold DW to CZ. The prototypes were divyed up by the executives. The one I have was sold by Serva on Gunbroker. I bought it off Gunbroker from the fellow who bought it from Serva. I have a bunch of providence too. Mine was engraved by a young up and coming engraver. Also it has 3 grips made to look like DW Grips but fitting the S&W grip frame. The shroud is located on the frame by a tab on the top rail fitting into a slot on the frame instead of a roll pin. Regular DW shrouds will not work.
There were six on each caliber made. 22lr, 357, 44mag, and 45acp. 2 other calibers also I think. S&W recieved the right to DW technology and used the barrel and shroud on their x frame guns first, then the N frame and other calibers. Smith did not promote the user changing of barrels. The tool is only sold to gunsmith and FFLs. The X frame guns had a number of barrel length options but the N frame had just a couple. A 5" and a 2 " as far as I know.

Guys - if you haven't read Jim Cirillo's book, do so. It's a hoot!

A trip to Ole Dog's lair last week, provided the unique opportunity for me to hold and dry fire this interesting firearm. This example is absolutely gorgeous, with superb engraving and an incredible grip selection, considering the rarity .. a stunning addition to any collection.
