I bought this DWA 357 Revolver many moons ago. From the info I have gathered on it:
* Monson, MA made
* 6" non-interchangeable slabside barrel
* aristocrat sight (screwed onto the barrel)
* unique wooden grips
It has been replated (by the previous owner) and you can see a faint outline of the famous "Dan Wesson" script. From my understanding, it looks like some of the Action Cups I have seen on this website. It was probably part of an old PPC League here in the Midwest. This is the wonderful revolver that got me interested on other DWAs.

Very interesting DW, thanks for posting your here.
I'm fairly certain that the barrel on this one is one from a custom gunsmith. The AC & PPC Dan Wesson's shrouds extended below the ejector rod, enclosing the ejector rod...an additional weight was then screwed on below that.
Regardless, I'd bet your gun was built for the AC or PPC shooting classes, and if the gun could talk, it would probably have quite a story to tell.
Thanks for showing off this unique DW.

I don't disagree with some of the factoids that ChargerFan has brought up. Like he stated ... if only this revolver could talk (or text)!!
It shoots really smooth (like my other Model 15 but with the 8" barrel installed) and accurate.
The reason why I posted it if some recognized it and has some other historical factoid. I bought it in a gun show in SE Michigan where several PPC leagues existed back in the 70s & 80s. The grip is custom as well.

Well ... I going to bite the big one. I am joining a local PPC League and this will be my main gun. But how to accessorize it?
I was thinking of a Ted Blocker PPC Revolver Rig:
http://www.tedblockerholsters.com/PPC-Revolver-Rig_p_41.html
But I am leary but purchasing it since I have a 6" barrel. The pic looks more like using a 8" barrel. I sent an email to Ted with some dimensions on the gun. Now play the waiting game. Pics to follow if successful.
Any other thoughts on PPC competition holsters.
