I wanted to share some pics of the gun I traded from Wheelgunner. Its beautiful, and has a few interesting qualities. First is the beautiful bluing, next the engraving and unfluted cylinder and also a hint of Barney on the barrel shroud. I've never seen Barney on a shroud before, only on frames and a few cylinders. The pac case is interesting too, it has custom cut foam that is glued into the case and what appears to be adhesive residue from a sticker that was removed from the side of the pac. It looks to be the same size as what Dan Wesson used on a lot of my other pacs. Do you think this case could be original to the gun? I plan to shoot this as soon as time permits, can't wait.
Thanks again Wheelgunner, this is a sweet piece. I hope you get your 44 on the range soon as well.

WOW! Yes it was I that led the hunt till the stupid Gator football game. What a gorgeous Dan. Glad it has a good home. I think ( just a baseless opinion) that that is a factory case. Palmer guns have some the finest polishing of all Dans. But we now know that all the large frames were made in Palmer even before Monson closed. I am guessing their best polishers ended up in Palmer.
