Does anyone  have or ever seen the elusive Dan Wesson PinGun?

I've seen old print articles from, I believe the Palmer years, that mention the Pin Gun, used in the sport of bowling pin shooting.

I'm looking for particulars, what caliber were these, what did they look like?  Also, anybody got one?  If so post some pics.

These seem to be more rare than the PPC slabsides, of which I've only seen pics.

Out of over 11 thousand members, a few of these have to exist in members hands.

Ok so it was a 45 acp, probably a 45 colt machined for moon clips.

I wonder what was roll marked on the shroud as far as caliber? I couldn't read it on my phone.

I shot pins for a little while with a Glock G41. Ball ammo could glance off, without transferring enough energy to knock them down unless a dead straight on shot, so we used hollow point.

I haven't seen one in the wild- I'm guessing .45 ACP or .45 Auto

Sounds like a Rowland 460. If it uses moon clips and chambers 45ACP it probably will chamber 460 and 45 Win Mag too. Except the cylinder looks shorter than a 460.

I can't believe nobody on this forum has one.  They must have been produced in very low numbers.
