Since buying my 15-2 a year ago I've been trying to diagnose an issue without success. In DA the hammer starts back and stops after about half the travel especially when the trigger is pulled slowly. Pulling the trigger quickly there's no noticeable problem. I've removed the grip screw and it makes no difference. It does it with the cylinder open or closed. The B/C gap is fine and not binding. I replaced the hammer, mainspring and trigger just to eliminate them as the source. I thought I had it isolated to the trigger return spring as it jumped the ledge on the trigger once at the range and exhibited the same function problem. I've completely disassembled the gun two or three times looking for issues. I may try bending the long leg of the trigger return spring inward a little to try to keep it on the ledge where it belongs. After reassembly, before putting the side plate screws in I grip the side plates hard to hold in place, pull the trigger and the gun functions as it should. After tightening the side plate screws the problem reappears. If I leave the bottom side plate screw slightly loose and tighten the top one normally it functions properly. I'm hoping this clue will help one of the experts here diagnose the problem.

You seem to have checked about everything except make sure the frame pins are fully seated. Tap them in on the right side of the frame with a wood or plastic hammer with the frame on a firm but not metal surface. It is often overlooked.
