So I read through some of the reloading posts and didn't really see any recipes that people liked for their wesson. I've been reloading for 3ish years now. Mostly high powered rifles. Does anyone have any recipes that they find to be accurate for their wesson 15-2 in both .38 special and .357 mag? I would be using Hodgdon Tite Group or Hodgdon HS-6 powder.
Thanks in advance

doubletapp- Just use the manufacturers' load data and work your loads from there. I've found, in more than 30 years of reloading, that one person's favorite, most accurate, load in a similar weapon may or may not work as well for another person. There are too many variables to assume that my best load will be an equally outstanding load for you.
Most of the fun of hand loading is working up the load for every weapon you have in the arsenal.
Just my $.02.

Recommending loads to people is a lot like recommending mixed drinks, one persons ambrosia is another person's poison. Start with published loads for your favorite powder and work up a load that YOU like in your gun and barrel combo. As a rule, I usually start out with the middle of the road for a particular bullet weight and go from there.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I can tell you what has not worked for...AA#7 and Nosler...they list AA#7 as the most accurate..matching their published data mine chronographed no where near what they showed..accuracy was not horrible, but not the best liked they showed on their stats..proving YMMV from gun to gun. For a light plinking round I have had great luck with a 125gr plated flat point in 38 special using the Titegroup published cowboy loads(lead rounds) with a plated bullet..low pressure, low recoil and about 600fps from an 8" barrel on a 15-2.

I agree with Hickk about the 2400, assuming you can find some. (I haven't for about two years now).
My personal favorite is 190 gr hard cast over 12.5 gr for 1130 fps from a 6" barrel (1273 from an 8 ").
As mentioned, what works for me might not work for you. I use this because it was the only hard cast flat nosed heavy bullet I could find for a while.

Much like czskorpion stated (close anyway), I use 158 grain SJHP over 16.3 grains of H-110. I have used this for years with very good accuracy in and .357. This is actually the max recommended load ion the Sierra loading manual, other manuals vary on max of H-110. They are potent but never have had a tough extraction either.
Good luck.

I played with a lot of different powders years ago. I ended up using UNQ for lead bullets and W296 (same as H110) for jacketed. I mix the loads up a bit, so not a hard rule, just a general guide.
I load milder loads for the Dans any more.
Edit: I've never loaded .38s in my DW. I've got several thousand .38 special cases and thought about loading those cases with a long nose bullet for use in the DW.
