While trying to sight in my new/old 15-2, I determined I needed to move point of aim to the right. My gun gas the type of sight with the small lock Allen screw on the top right of the wedge and the adj. screw on the right side. I loosened the allen screw and turned the windage screw in both directions. Wedge didn't move either way. I even took the lock screw all the way out.
It appears that everything is stripped. I can't even figure how to remove the windage screw. Any suggestions? Saw a post where folks are using Ruger sights as a replacement. Will this work?

The small Allen screw is not a lock it just holds it together.(I think). Yes a Ruger Black Hawk sight will work, or you can buy a replacement sight from DW, they now have them back in stock. See "Where can I order parts?" under FAQs on the right hand of your screen.

That small screw is not a lock, it is a retaining screw for the windage adjuster. Try tightening it back in place and then adjust windage
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

This may help get it back together.

It's easy to forget that many of these guns are 30+ years old, and they have a tendency to lay around in safes, dresser drawers, closets, etc. for many years.
Clean it and lube it, then go shoot it!
