Loaded up some 185 gr plated round nose recently. Here's the results.

Win once fired brass/CCI LP primers/W231(HP38)/OAL 1.22/target distance 30'

5.0 gr stovepipe (vertical stringing)

5.2 gr stovepipe (one large ragged hole)

5.4 gr no stovepipe, but failed to lock slide after last round (slightly smaller Ragged hole)

5.6 gr no problems (one ragged hole)

5.8 gr (ditto)

6.0 gr (ditto)

I got 1000 free bullets from Hornady due to press purchase, found that the "straight-sided" XTP-HP 230 gr. had a problem with the match barrel in the DW CBOB. Encountered the rifling at anything over 1.198 OAL. Bullets with a normal ogive should be no problem. Just FYI!
