For all you plinkers and target shooters
I know I'm not the first to suggest it, but I've been having great results loading .357 cases with Hornady 158 gr. SWC and 4.2 grains of Trailboss.
Shoots like a drea from my DW model 15. Great accuracy, no leading and just enough punch! Novice shooters seem to handle the load well, without the flinch associated with heavy magnum loads. And did I mention..... no leading. So far this is my go-to range load as I can purchase all components locally at a fair price.
I generally shoot at 25 yards, but will try the load at 50 yards the next time I'm at the range.

I have been hearing lots of good things about Trail Boss. Do you happen to have a favorite load for:
.38
146gr SWC ( truncated cone)
I have a friend that can cast 6 of those bullets at a time, so its kinda our goto projectile.
I am using TiteGroup... bought 4 pounds of the stuff, but I don't really like it, just too fast. I am now experimenting with HP38, but I don't really see much difference between it and TiteGroup. I do LOVE LilGun, but its expensive in that you have to use so much.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

Pinetor,
I have not been loading .38s, so no pet loads, but the IMR load data for Trail boss suggests a beginning load of 2.7 grains and a max load of 4.2 with the 158 swc.
Nice thing about Trail Boss is that it is very high volume so there's almost no way to double load. A quick note, you don't want to compress TB. Compression rapidly raises the pressure.
Hope That Helps!
