Just got some from Midway, they came in today.  220gn flat nose I believe.

Yep! Midway is a good place to order. The 220 gr FN are really accurate bullets.

In case you don't know the 220 gr FN was used in IHMSA in the 80s. It was a real performer from the 50-200 yds targets.

Graf's is also a good source for these bullets, I've bought from them a few times & never had a bad transaction. I even found a few boxes of Hornady in my local Sportsman's Warehouse for almost the same price as Graf's.

So, this week I cast some (sized to) .377", 225 gr, Gas Checked, Large Flat Nose, boolits with my mould from LBT.  I sized/lubed/checked and then waited a few days for the air cooled wheel weight lead to age a bit; the BHN tested at 12 this AM; perfect.

The problem came when I started seating.  The profile on this boolit is a bit different from the Sierra 200 or Hornady 220 gr store bought jacketed bullets.  The lead, being soft (the way I want it), was indented by the seating plug rim.  What to do?  Hot glue!  Filled the stem with hot glue melt, ran a dummy round into the seating die, ran the plug down and snug against the boolit and let it cool.  Pulled the stem out, trimmed around the bottom edge and viola; no more size ring on my soft boolit.

I'm using cut down .375 WIN brass, WIN Large Rifle Primer, 21 gr. of WIN 296, OAL 2.070".

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
