I've been busy cutting brass and loading 375 SM. Today i went to load 25 IHMSA 375 Supermag headstamp cases I had fired a few years ago. They were tumbled and de primed and well lubricated as was my sizing die. The very first one stuck in the die. I had to remove the die and use a punch and hammer to drive the case out, and it was only in about half way!
I ended up having to size them in stages and run them thru about 4 times until I could get the entire case resized. I've never had any brand that difficult to size. And it was only the IHMSA head stamp that acted like this. The 375 win cases were easy to size as were everything else.
If this had been any other caliber, I'd have just thrown those cases away, but IHMSA 375 SM cases don't grow on trees.
Anybody ever had a similar issue?

That's a nice Package Stan, and fairly priced in today's market, especially with the dies.
Brass and bullets are getting hard to come by for these beauties.

Just wondering if this brass I bought from Quality Cartridge since it's already sized properly would not cure the sticking problems. I know it's expensive (around $2.25 per casing but you're reusing the brass over and over so once you buy say 100 casings you can reload them over and over again? Anain i'm no expert and even dumber when it comes to re-loading!

By the way I think I said I have another 375 Supermag that is also new unfired condition but it's serial number #14 I have the same brass, bullets na another set or brand new IHMSA dyes i'm keeping them to go along with the gun so sown the road years from now if I decide to sell it I will have the re-loading stuff to go along with it also. I think the 375 is going to be harder and harder to sell (at least for a good price) unless you can provide the dyes at least so a buyer can make ammo. Of course that may not be correct since the gun is new it's a collector item and a large percent of buyers would not want to fire it anyway! Catch 22
