The +P is what the gun was designed for. I initially started with .38 Special in mine & discovered that it shoots high & to the left, but other members here suggested using +P ammo. It gets it a lot closer to POA now, however I'm still working my way down the list to find the combination that the gun really likes.
The last time I shot it I used some factory loaded 125gr JHP +P ammo, it seems to like that pretty well. I think I'll start trying to narrow it down with a few different hand load combinations, using flat nose bullets
