I was basing this loading off the Hogdons website using the loading data for H4227 as they didn't have any listed for IMR 4227. People go back and forth as to whether they are the same powder or not. I figured I would work up and see how it went. Velocity readings were fine so I feel I was safe. I will definitly revisit this powder in 41 Mag as the recoil was light and muzzle blast was light. I do want to see if the IMR 4227 can get up to the 1400 fps area and see what the recoil and muzzle blast is like up there. I have read that 4227 is excellent for the 445 Super Mag and am excited to work up loads for that caliber after I finish goofing with 41 Mag.

“We cannot but pity the boy who has never fired a gun; he is no more
humane, while his education has been sadly neglected.”
-Henry David Thoreau
“When some of my friends have asked me anxiously about their boys, whether
they should let them hunt, I have answered, yes – remembering that it was
one of the best parts of my education – *make* them hunters.”
-Henry David Thoreau
