Been exploring several routes for shot loads in a .41 mag but not satisfied with my results. Seems like there just isn't enough case capacity for powder wad and shot in the amounts I want. I would like to experiment with using .414 Supermag cases, trimmed for length if needed. Two part question: 1 if anyone here has tried such a thing and 2 current source for the cases? Don't really need a hundred cases at >$1 per but even at that my usual sources aren't listing .414 available.

Weapon is a .41 mag but given that the end of the case will be crimped over a wad or gas check a .41 chamber still leaves a fair bit of space open. Trying to bypass the headache others go through modifying and fire forming assorted rifle brass to fill a .41 chamber. Agree that pistol shot loads are less than ideal but at 10' snake distance I have had fair lethality in other calibers. .41 experiments to date have been more hole than pattern.
