GB Auction for Dan Wesson .445 SM Ammo
$250 BIN for 80 rounds?
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=128661669
Is this a GTDW in reverse?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

But they are not listing ammo right now. I'll see what they say to my email.

That's awful. Now I remember why I roll my own,
I personally wouldn't have considered buying a Supermag for $1.50/ shot, much less $3.00+/ shot.
Just a friendly FYI guys- it doesn't take long to pay for a reloading press at those prices. Since my 445 came with brass, it costs me about $.38 a trigger pull. The 357SM costs me about $.54 a shot until the next time I reload my brass, then it will drop to $.34/ shot since I won't need to buy brass again.
Food for thought fellas.

I load all my own everything. I was just forwarding the info for anyone curious. I did buy a few boxes from them to get some brass when 414 brass was harder to get. They were reasonable for the loaded ammo as I recollect but still over $1.00 per shot

Went for the big shiny object, just like any well trained animal will do.
LOL- You brought tears to my eyes with that comment Charger. Thank goodness I wasn't ingesting liquids when I read that.
I totally understand where your coming from...... I would have done the same thing.

I received an email back from Paul at Bullseye. They are very much in business yet but they had to suspend ammo sales due to lack of primers, powder, bullets. They had too many cases of upset customers at delays I suspect. As soon as products become more available they will be back in the marketplace. They are not middle guys on this they actually handload these Dan Wesson calibers.

When I got my last ammo order, Paul told me that it would be the last for a while because of the primer shortage. But their SM ammo wasn't too bad, a little over a buck a shot. Now, my FA .500WE is another story; $3.30 a pull.
I'm gonna have to stop adding to my collection and get started reloading, but I did the “shiny thing” again the other day and bought another .357SM. It's in sooo much better shape than mine. Now I'm gonna have to sell the old one. Hey, maybe she'll let me use the procedes of the sale to by a press and some dies. Ya think??

seriously ZOOM and all you guys.. I was in Israel last spring.. gas was $9 per Gal...
came home.. gas shot up to $5 here..now it's down.. but who know for how long..
so take a lesson..
I have 2 presses... single stage...( Yes Jody I got that used Rockchucker for $45)..and all 9 calibers that I shoot dies... and I get a little extra brass and powder and primers and bullets .. I'm not going crazy and hoarding just a few things.. but it's not a bad idea to have some on hand . I reload a little but mostly I shoot factory ammo now and save the brass.
There just may come a time in the future when gas goes up to $9 and .38's go up to $5 each...
why not be ready , if not for you .. how about those that are coming behind you !!
