Hey Jody.
Thanks for the reloading data. May I make one suggestion for those new to reloading though?
***I hope I am not overstepping my boundaries here.***
Before anyone tries to use these loads, be sure you know which manufacturer's bullets are being used. The XTP is fairly obvious but the JHP's could lead to problems.
Case in point- Sierra Manual #5 states on a 357SM with a 180gr FPJ Match Sil. bullet, you should have an OAL of 1.875″ with a max charge of 21.5gr. of 4227 powder. If you use a Speer 180gr TMJ Match Sil. bullet, it should be 1.990″ OAL with a max charge of 4227 being substantially less at 20gr.
Needless to say, shoving the Speer bullet down another .115″ and then overcharging by 1.5 gr. could become a very nasty situation.
As always, start at minimum charges and work your way up.
Be careful, and happy shooting everyone.
As usual, use at your own risk, no warranties expressed or implied, blah blah blah.
