I was shooting some of my 445sm loads yesterday and was reminded of something very important. Temperature sensitivity (I was using W296 in this case)
Fired a dozen, all was fine. Took a short break then fired off the next 6. EXTREMELY difficult ejection and the flattest primers I've ever seen.
I realized I had left my ammo in the sun, so it heated up very quickly.
Excess pressure due to temp doesn't just happen when it's hot. Work up a load in cold weather and you may be fine. Shoot the same load when it warms up a little, you could be putting yourself in a bad spot.
DW's are strong, but everything can fail. Some powders are more sensitive than others, but it's never a good idea to leave your ammo in the sun. Reduce your "cold weather" loads when it warms up and work them up from there.
Hope is not a course of action

This is good information! As a relative newbie to reloading I had never thought of this, thanks for sharing!
I would never have considered the possibility of something like this.
One more reason that I surround myself with people smarter that me
And "people smarter than me" is pretty much ALL OF YOU!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
