Our Wally World here in Ky. still has shotgun shells to spare and 22lr and 22mags, but the price seems to go up everytime I go there. There are very few pistol or rifle rounds in their display case though. I too have gotten back into the air pistol and rifle mode to keep my firing fix.

Lately I shoot a bunch of .22lr, but that's OK because my local club (.5 miles from home) is .22lr only, and I can still shoot my 722, along with the Buckmark and the HS Victor. Still have 1000+ of 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP, and it looks like the current crisis will ease off in the next couple months.
edit: including the ammo my son left here, which he told me to shoot off, about 10K .22lr on hand
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Found a reasonable explanation of the ammo shortage problem here, in Grant Cunningham's blog...
