I ended up with this barrel when buying a porkchop. Seem's the guy had a plan to get a long barrel on a W12.
Not really a bad job But I would really rather have the 12 incher for a 15-2.
Guess I'l just wave a little heat around on it and see if it falls off?

That is AWESOME. I would swap you another 15" for it. However, EWK makes an adapter to use -2 s on a porkchop. Would not look as good as that though.Â

Yeah , can't deny the craftsmanship on that and the front sight making it taller. Could have come out a lot worse.
If anyone has a need and wants to swap let me know. It will be a day or two before I go all bubba and remove it.

Gotta say that is a really cool idea, and reasonably well done. Hmm, giving myself some tantalizing thoughts.🤔 Most likely silver soldered in place; it will take a little more heat.

My very first Dan was a 15-2 with a very scarce 12H BA. Also came with an 8 and 6 H in a Halliburton case. My wife said " you paid $1000 for that?" I told her the 12H BA alone was worth 1000. That was early 2013. She was also incredulous I paid $600 for a VERY well used Manurhin MR73 Gendarme revolver. Then she fired it and appropriated it. She had been a firearms instructor for the Florida Department of Corrections and the first female to attain the rank of Major. There is one just like it on Gunbroker that was up over $1600 when I last looked.Â

OK, Right or wrong ,things have happened. Lumpectomy complete.
Tidied up pretty good for now may try some cold blue for temporary .
Although with these things being so silly expensive it might be worth it to get it reblued.
Who knows only time will tell.

Yes, nice work!  If you cold blue it, I’d be curious to see a finished pic, what brand blueing you used, and your thoughts on how well it matches.
